“A country will still have national security interests even if it suffers from poor leadership, and we should be careful not to dismiss those interests simply because there is a Trump or Netanyahu in charge. That’s true in Israel, America, and around the world.”

This is a fair enough point, but considering the person we are talking about who has had nothing but bad intentions for years, and the fact that they are also attacking civilian targets in Iran, I still think you are wrong about the full intent and objectives here.
Now, I agree that the planning of the attack was absolutely likely in the works a long time ago, and maybe even well before the Gaza conflict. But, the timing of it is absolutely suspicious and coupled with the clear intention of dragging the madman in the Oval Office into yet another “regime change” conflict we don’t need, I find it hard to believe this was just about destroying Nuclear capabilities. And on that point, why is Iran not allowed to have a Nuke? I personally believe it would bring stability to the region because it would put a Nuclear Israel in check. The recent short lived conflict between India and Pakistan comes to mind.
Additionally, why is it that the West gets to dictate who has Nukes when we have seen over and over bad intentions in the guise of democracy and freedom? Regime change should be up to the people and that should not matter whether it’s Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, Israel or America.
