I lived under the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha who was friends with Russian and Chinese dictators. I know that feeling of paranoia about people getting in trouble over little things. That's why I could smell dictatorship with Trump in every move he made before it was evident to others. But, it's one of those things as they say here. IYKYK
Great stories, and "Death of Stalin" is a great movie, I absolutely love it without forgetting that in fact that was the atmosphere at the time...fear of not doing the right thing at the right time could have cost you a lot.
What sends me to an incandescent rage is in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, there is a Lenin statue erected after someone purchased it from Slovakia or another Warsaw Pact country after the Cold War.
As Garry implies, Hitler was a piker next to Stalin (and Mao). According to Rudolph Rummel - the world's leading authority on collective death, genocide, etc. throughout history - the number of people killed or dead (as a result of his policies) under Mao was ~70 million. Under Stalin, it was 30-50 million, and under Hitler is was ~13 million.
I can see how a movie about Stalin would be hilarious, particularly as referencing his great professed love of brotherhood and humanity :) :) :) Laughter is the one best therapy.
