I think the inflatable frogs and other creatures are a brilliant way to stand up to the tyranny and fascism displayed by Trump’s ICE storm troopers. Visually it makes all those brutes in camo and flack vests and masks and guns look really stupid. Ridicule is the way to win the hearts and minds of those just looking on. It is smart, it’s clever and it takes courage. The brutes are the best at intimidation and … well… brutality, which is why they’re there. All that fire power confronting pacifist frogs makes the guys all tricked out for Al Qaeda look really lame. You can’t out-power a brute. But if you give people cause to laugh at them with all their ridiculous over-reaction, then you make your point in a way that creates a lasting image. That is what will win people to the cause of democracy.
Schumer and Jeffries may not be making headlines, but I appreciate their cautious approach and moderate positions. I laud any elected official who speaks on behalf of our Jewish and Ukrainian democratic allies, and who also considers Arabs, Egyptians, Muslims as valued friends, also. So, thank you, to every elected official who seeks to expand the tent to the right edge of the left wing.
I am a centralist democrat, and while they may appeal to some, it’s independents that we need to attract as well as disheartened and centrist republicans.
Like these two ( S&J) or not, all democrats will vote for democrats at this point; we all know the stakes.
That said, we need crossover appeal; Schumer and Jeffries, not so much. IMHO…:)
I agree, especially when they’re calling all protesters left-wing terrorists. It adds levity to a serious issue, but proves the protesters aren’t terrorists, just American’s who want their democracy back!
And sadly, the fact that peaceful protesters can be accused of being terrorists by our Attorney General, nonetheless, speaks volumes to how far this administration will go to squash any and all dissent!…:)
Honestly, my take is that Schumer and Jeffries must go; they are terrible leaders, and always ten steps behind MAGA.
I believed Schumer was wrong for going along with Trump’s BBB, and should have nixed it from the get go. This was the time we had leverage. Trump was trying to get his legacy bill passed, and yet, Schumer decided to waive the white flag, even though democrats were never consulted on it, or allowed to make revisions to get their consent.
Instead, he waits six months to announce he will shut down the government. Why didn’t he shout from the roof tops for six months prior, at a time when Trump was refusing to negotiate on healthcare at all, knowing full well we’d be have an issue in October?
Additionally, now we have a shutdown when Trump would have been forced to renegotiate in a month. Seriously, the resolution would have only been in effect for a month; until the actual bill could be passed.
Furthermore, and quite frankly, if we want to win back America, American’s will need to feel pain. If a deal for healthcare is completed, democrats won’t get the credit anyway; it would have been crisis averted: no harm, no foul.
If Americans actually see what healthcare will cost next year, and had to pay it, they’d be pissed at Trump, not the democrats.
Bottom line: this was a bad move, especially since democrats are terrible at messaging, and republicans have an entire media ecosystem dedicated to disseminating lies and misinformation; setting the false narratives on Trump’s behalf.
I ask liberal, progressive, Muslim Palestinian friends how we can best help in their fight against Hamas and coercive Islam and remake the Palestinian cause into one that supports Israel and rejects the Muslim Brotherhood.
Democrats like Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is touring the country after Cheeto’s election to help Democrats to win elections During a Jen Psaki interview on MSNBC she addressed the concern about the average American meeting the cost of living which is a go to political topic to drive the electorate to the voting booths
And while she like Kamala Harris is talking about helping people in the short term with various plans, like all D’s she misses the underlying problem facing the economy….the fiat dollar unbacked by anything but the faith in the federal government The days of the fiat dollar are limited and many in the financial industry are predicting that an economic collapse is coming….the likes of which will make the 1929 to 1931 collapse like a tea party
So sure have detailed short term plans for strapped Americans But the D’s long term plan should incorporate and emphasize that a return to a gold standard has to be part of the solution for the US economy They don’t have to look very far for what’s happening as China is currently backing an international trade organization based on a gold standard which will supplant the dollar as the reserve currency

Democrats Lose Economic Message
