When I first read a couple of months ago that President Zelensky had "resurrected" the designation of UPA for one of their divisions; I too thought this is not a good idea. However, he is in what can only imagine is an incredibly tight walk between inspiring his military and his war-weary people, and at the same time constantly trying to find aid and support from other countries in this illegal war of Putin's. We need Ukraine to succeed. We need Europe, especially eastern Europe to succeed. The world cannot afford to let Putin to reassemble the old soviet bloc.

There is only one way to end the war in Ukraine - RUSSIA STOPS FIGHTING! PUTIN MUST STOP HIS RUTHLESS AGGRESSION AND MERCILESS WAR CRIMES ALL TO SATISFY HIS EMPIRE BUILDING SCHEMES.
As you say. People must put aside their cultural differences in order to take on their common enemy. To not coordinate with each other is suicide. Yet the world has become increasingly suicidal mostly because their politicians have their own agenda. Good luck.
I live in Warsaw, and unfortunately the tensions are rising. It is not alone about history,. Most of the people do not think geostrategical, they react to changes of their enviroment. The money elite from Kiev is building up there business there which provoces envious feelings. Then there are rumors about more welfare donations to Ukrainians. And not to underestimate - the Ukrainian women are snachting away Polish men. (most of the refugees from Ukraine were women, old people, kids) That is not a side issue.
