When I first read a couple of months ago that President Zelensky had "resurrected" the designation of UPA for one of their divisions; I too thought this is not a good idea. However, he is in what can only imagine is an incredibly tight walk between inspiring his military and his war-weary people, and at the same time constantly trying to find aid and support from other countries in this illegal war of Putin's. We need Ukraine to succeed. We need Europe, especially eastern Europe to succeed. The world cannot afford to let Putin to reassemble the old soviet bloc.
Many thanks for your personal engagement with this unfortunate development in relations between Poland and Ukraine. You are a hero to many Poles, especially to the chess playing lot. I sincerely hope your mission had real influence on the policy makers, esp. Nawrocki's stance.
