The events unfolding around the 62nd Munich Security Conference are profoundly instructive, but I doubt that the Trump administration can read the signs.
Just consider what people like Carney, Merz and Macron are saying. These are serious people!
Some thoughts:
• Trump and his incredibly dishonest and incompetent team have turned nearly the entire world against America.
• This “new” America is probably considered by many readers to be the real America.
• An America that has previously been hidden from view by smarter and more duplicitous political leaders from both parties. Rubio’s speech at the conference is a perfect example of this duplicity.
• An America that has dishonestly managed to dilute the wishes of their own electorate.
Any world leadership team that does not look for new and more genuine alliances, are fools in the image of Trump.
Also consider how an ascendant China has benefitted from the incredible stupidity of Trump. I have always been pro USA and anti-China. An Americophile no more. At least for now.
I would now reluctantly throw my lot in with China rather than the incredible train wreck that Project 25 has created and unleashed on the world. Critically, I do not think that America in its present state can elect leaders and teams with the intellectual depth and gravitas of the Chinese.
I write from abroad and I passionately believe that too many Americans with their colloquialism and sense of superiority are failing to see and comprehend what is happening around them.
Minneapolis, The Trump Files. The Epstein Files. The “Cabinet.” Bondi. Kennedy. Ukraine abandoned. Election manipulation! The list is endless.
The world is watching, and alarm is shifting to contempt. Yes, contempt, because we are all realising that we can do without the USA. Why, because it now appears reckless, unserious, and increasingly irrelevant. And that may be the most dangerous consequence of all.
A short correction: countries are invited to join for 3 years, the $1 billion 'fee' is for those who wish to remain a member indefinitely. It is not clear at this moment how many countries have actually paid. There's a fair chance that 'Board of Peace' eventually turns out to Trump paying himself $1 billion dollars. Corruption in its purest form.
Bondi’s Incompetence Is the Latest Insult for Epstein’s Victims
Ms. Bondi’s performance was more than just political theater. It was a final indignity in a process that has victimized Mr. Epstein’s victims all over again. Under the guise of transparency, the Justice Department has managed to expose the victims to further humiliation while shielding the powerful behind a wall of redactions.
Americans should not accept vague excuses for protecting the identities of Mr. Epstein’s associates. A two-tiered justice system that coddles the powerful and revictimizes the vulnerable is a violation of American values. The survivors in that hearing room deserved an apology. More than that, they deserve the truth about Mr. Epstein and his friends, unspun and fully exposed.
The Board of Peace is just another Trump attempt to trade him money for more authoritarian power. Unlike Epstein, he's not offering underage women to sweeten the deal. Besides being a weak, sadistic grifter, he's exemplifying the Marketocracy - “Marketocracy” means the overpowering and replacement of national laws and sovereignty by corporate laws and sovereignty, without the consent of the governed and without civil society’s access to redress. In the US, the origins are the Powell Memorandum of 1971, which started the deliberate GOP policy of buying representatives, the Democrats’ 1980 response to raise funds from businesses too, and the Supreme Court decision Citizens United, aka the one dollar one vote decision. Marketocracy forces want to do away with nation-states altogether.
During the Nixon administration, Barnet and Muller interviewed corporate commanders for their 1974 book Global Reach. Several quotes from the interviewees reveal their vision for the world.
“The world’s political structures are completely obsolete. The critical issue of our time is the conceptual conflict between the search for global optimization of resources
and the independence of nation-states.”

Barnet and Muller also reported that at the Roundtable for Chief Executive Officers organized by Business International in Jamaica in 1971, global corporate executives “vowed to take a more active political role in suggesting a constructive role for nation-states in developing the Global Shopping Center. . . The global corporation must also make a “huge” effort to “educate people who would prefer not to be educated and who so deeply feel that the nation state is necessary for their happiness.”
According to Cyrill Stewert, then Chief Financial Officer of Colgate-Palmolive Corporation, “The United States does not have an automatic call on our resources. There is no mind-set that puts this country first.”
To see the corporations sucked dry by bigger leeches doesn’t fix the world. They’re all competing for the Darwin Awards, killing the world.

Tyler Perry’s new movie Joe’s College Road Trip(https://bit.ly/4aWaFWb) is a great expose of a pushback against the white supremacy need to erase black ethnic history so that they as victims can claim discrimination But simply substitute Hispanic for the ethnic cleansing of blacks and one gets the broad activity of ICE and its concentration camps This simply mirrors the 1930’s Hitler’s Third Reich and its Nazi racism and antisemitism….German blood purity
Christopher Mathias author of Covering the Far Right(https://bit.ly/4ky3OX2)also underscores what the Cheeto regime is hard at work trying to establish….a federal government that rewards loyalists and election denialists to the cause of white supremacy and avoiding people with expertise Case in point is the nomination of Jeremy Carl for a top diplomatic position
The Cheeto regime is clearly populating itself with white supremacists or groypers who will carry the Christian Nationalist agenda or more popularly known as Project 2025 The fact that a significant majority(66%) in national polling of this regime is against such an ideology implies that the American majority doesn’t buy into this fascist discrimination
