Donald Trump and his allies either fed a baseless conspiracy theory about Jeffrey Epstein. Or they’re defending a global pedophile ring. Any way you slice it, the president doesn’t look good.
I agree with the main point of the article which is to keep the focus on Epstein, but to me the article minimizes the Epstein story. Zev Shalev has done a deep dive on Epstein and is now covering him with the excellent researcher and Russia expert Olga Lautman. Their research indicates that Epstein had connections with Israeli and Russian intelligence services. This plus Senator Wyden’s research into Epstein money trail indicate that Epstein was at the center of foreign intelligence operations and possibly transnational criminal networks weakening our nation. For justice for the trafficked girls and possibly for national security reasons, getting more clarity on the Epstein operations will be painful to many, including likely his former bff Trump, but potentially cleansing and beneficial.

Some of the Epstein money transfers disclosed in a report from JPMorgan Chase involved accounts at two Russian banks before those institutions were subject to U.S. sanctions. A few transactions red-flagged were for as much as $100 million.
