You cut through the fog without hedging. The contrast between story and statecraft lands. Calling Ukraine a test clarifies stakes others blur. You name the cost of equivocation and press for action. That clarity serves freedom—and forces readers to choose. Thank you for speaking without flinching when it counts as much as the issue here!

''Minnesota Nice''

'This would not be the first time for “Minnesota Nice.” A fierce spirit underlies that polite exterior to defy unprecedented subzero temperatures, at times colder than minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit, to take on the mantle of responsibility that has fallen on them: to gather, day after day, at this critical juncture for the nation, and to stand up to Donald Trump! They recognize that, when formal checks and balances fail to constrain a dangerously mentally-impaired dictator, whose psychopathy has morphed into grotesque delusions of grandeur and would continue to transmogrify without end, as long as he is in the executive office—someone, somewhere must stop him! When just about everyone else has been threatened, intimidated, harassed, and beaten into giving up, Minnesotans have admirably decided that they simply cannot give in.'

Thank you for your courage and for putting this into words. I am an old white woman (66) and I have always been an activist. Now I realize that the stakes were not that high for me. I was a pretty middle class woman who appreciated my advantages without really knowing how good I had it. The curtain is up and our evils are on full display. I had been insulted from the racism and sexism that is exposed and glorified at this point in our history. I’m doing what I can to fight for my country. I am a participant in yours and several other people who are making a difference. I call my congressmen every day but I am not able to be on the front lines due to health issues. I’m talking with a woman about starting a Substack if we could make a difference. In the meantime I follow those who are walking the walk like Miles Taylor and Waj from the left hook as well as Lev Parnas and Zev Shelev who are really getting things done. I also follow Shari Dunn who has been instrumental in my education. We are out here looking for the next step to stop this regime. We are working on community building and trying to use Minnesota as our flagship. Again thank you for all that you do.

Democratic Party Branding: Indivisible Support In Democratic Primaries

The most unpopular politician in America right now is Chuck Schumer Suprising? Not if you realize that the Democratic party as a whole is unpopular Why especially when the country is undergoing a Nazi Republican fascist takeover of the government? Because the electorate has become distrusting of D leadership who have concentrated power and wealth and not represented WE the People

WE believe that elections cannot be bought $$$ have destroyed our voting systems and the crypto industry wants to concentrate power with their dollars Musk found that out in Wisconsin in the state 2022 SC race and most recently in the NJ CD 10 Malinowski D primary

So Indivisible national in partnership with local Indivisible groups are endorsing what WE the People feel are candidates who should be supported and who offer holding electeds accountable

Brad Lander vs Dan Goldman(Goldman qualified but taking $$ from crypto industry and 80-90% of Indivisible in CD10 endorsed Lander DNC leadership didn’t back Mandami and the party needs to get behind the D after the primaries and defeat the fascists) NY CD10

Peggy Flanigan vs Angie Craig(Craig has voted to endorse ICE in the House) Senate Mn to replace Klobuchar running for Mn governor)

Jasmine Clark vs David Scott(has been a complete no show as D representative and constituents have had enough) Ga CD13

Thank you for your post, Kasparov.

For a while I was limiting my own posts to endgames I found interesting, looking to engage fellow "players" in discussion about the game of kings. It was more satisfying than venting about my peers social responsibilities vs. their "rights".

Most of we Americans have the luxury of experiencing Reality as an entertaining story. We flit from one entertaining distraction to the next. Whether an event is funny, odd, or Very Sad, we may reflect on it. Perhaps, we even pray on it.

As you note ...

"When a movie ends, the lights go up, the credits roll, and our opinions, values, worships, and feelings, have no bearing on anyone or anything. Reality, by contrast, means real consequences, and the worship of fake values can cost lives. It is a sad thing that Real values are easier to spot in stories of make believe."

This statement alone is worth the price of admission.

It is both tragic and hilarious.
