Rep. Ritchie Torres is very clear and articulate and real breath of fresh air. Thank you so much to you both for this conversation and I am so glad to hear concrete suggestions for what we can do. It's great that he will be a regular on the Next Move. Last week, my republican member of Congress held a telephone town hall. I live in a nearly 100% red state. People were asking the Congressman what he would do to help them save their businesses - they are afraid they won't survive the tariffs. People also discussed the layoffs and firings, cuts to many programs that affect farmers and ranchers, schools, health care, etc. The Congressman just kept repeating, 'well, we all have to feel some pain but we'll all come out ahead under President Trump.' It was just awful seeing this Congressman parrot the Trump Administration talking points. So, I really look forward to concrete actions we can do here in my state to get our democracy back and restore our government, which should be responsible to "we, the People." Thank you.

I think you should look up Ritchie Torres's actual policy positions, in particular his vocal push for silencing TikTok because of it raising awareness about the ongoing IDF war crimes in Gaza. The fact that he's one of the congresspeople who have received the greatest donations from AIPAC should raise some substantial eyebrows, to say nothing of how his own district is in opposition to his own feelings on the issue.
